CNC Routers
CNC routers can be a demanding application for blowers and vacuum pumps. The advantage that Olympias technology can offer is the high flow rates compared to dry vane pumps
CNC routers can be a demanding application for vacuum pumps. The vacuum pump is used to hold down material as it is being cut by the CNC router. This method is commonly applied when cutting wood, MDF, plastic and aluminium. Often used for woodworking, cabinet making, boat building, sign making etc.
The advantage that Olympias Side Channel Blower / Vacuums can offer is the high flow rates compared to dry vane pumps. With side channel blowers cuts are made in the workpiece, which opens up an air flow path through the protector sheet. To create the clamping pressure, high enough flow rates are required to create resistance to the flow through the open protector sheet. This creates the pressure difference from the top of the workpiece to the underside and thus a clamping force.
Olympias Side Channel Blowers can offer the high flow rates whilst also achieving acceptable levels of vacuum and all at a very competitive price
Some technologies are so good that it is hard to improve them. Side channel blowers are such an example. They have proven their reliability in service for many decades, performing flawlessly day in and day out with virtually no downtime and almost no maintenance.
